Annual General Meeting

The Mazungumzo Annual General Meeting (AGM) is the heartbeat of our governance, uniting members as the supreme decision making organ of the Community, the AGM is held under Uganda’s legal framework and our Constitution. The AGM appoints the Board of Directors, who oversee daily operations through the leadership of the  Executive Director and a Secretariat of volunteers led by the Chief of Staff. It’s a space where our community reflects on achievements like outreaches and dialogues while polishing it’s advocacy agendas.

One important occasion at all AGMs is the welcoming of new members who have been interacting with the community as Associate members into Permanent membership. Such members are awarded the distinguished Honorary membership Prize.
